Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a muffin pan with liners.

In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk, then whisk for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is smooth and slightly fluffy. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt, and gently mix until just combined. Fold the holiday sprinkles into the batter, being careful not to overmix.

Divide the batter evenly between the muffin liners, filling each almost all the way to the top. Sprinkle additional holiday sprinkles over the top of each muffin.

Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 5 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) without opening the oven. Continue baking for 14-16 minutes, until the muffins are set in the center and lightly golden on top.

Let the muffins cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a rack.
