Classic peanut butter blossoms made with creamy peanut butter and topped with a Hershey's chocolate kiss while still warm. A beginner-friendly cookie.

Ingredients

Creamy peanut butter½ cup (128 g)
Unsalted butter, softened½ cup (113 g)
Packed light brown sugar¾ cup (110 g)
Salt¼ teaspoon (1.5 g)
Large egg, room temperature1 (50 g)
Vanilla extract1 teaspoon (4 g)
All-purpose flour1½ cups (180 g)
Baking soda½ teaspoon (3 g)
Hershey’s chocolate kisses8 pieces

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Melt the butter in the microwave for 30 seconds. In a large bowl, mix the peanut butter, melted butter, light brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract with a whisk until smooth. Add the flour and baking soda to the wet ingredients. Mix with a spatula or spoon until the cookie dough forms.

Scoop the dough into about 1.5 tablespoon portions and roll into a ball. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown.

Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie. Let the cookies cool to room temperature.
