Homemade Salted Caramel

Instructions
The sugar will start clumping up and browning, keep stirring every 45-60 seconds until everything melts down into a liquid. Once everything becomes liquid, turn off the heat and stir in the butter. When the butter is mostly incorporated, add in the buttercream and continue whisking until everything is completely combined.
Add in the salt last and stir once more.
Let this come to room temperature before refrigerating, if you’re planning to use it later.
