Brown Butter Pistachio Honey Blondies
by JosephineChewy brown butter blondies made with honey, brown sugar, and a generous amount of chopped pistachios throughout. An easy one-bowl blondie recipe that.
In a small pan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir constantly until it begins to foam and turns an amber brown color with a nutty aroma. Transfer the browned butter to a bowl and let it cool to room temperature.
While the butter cools, whisk together the brown sugar, eggs, honey, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
Once the browned butter is no longer hot, pour it into the bowl and mix until fully combined.
Add the flour, baking powder, and chopped pistachios. Stir until the batter is well mixed.
Line an 8x8-inch (20x20 cm) pan with parchment paper and spread the batter evenly.
Top with additional chopped pistachios, if desired.
Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
Let cool before slicing into squares.
Tips & Notes:
For deeper flavor, use raw shelled pistachios and toast them before adding.
